It just doesn’t occur to her (or 60k tumblr users) that millions of people go to work every day in uniforms or wearing and bearing equipment a thousand times more uncomfortable than high heels.
I can’t think of a single uniform that would be more uncomfortable than heels. Other than uniforms that include heels. The only equipment that would be similar are equipment that can be put down and are not strapped to you 24/7.
It’s because you’ve never done manual labor and you take it for granted. Try working in a muddy trench for 8 hours in the middle of winter wearing rubber boots (they do not conform to your foot), coveralls, safety glasses, and a hard hat. You will never understand because you live a soft and entitled life above those who make it possible for you.
Has nothing to do with uniforms. Doing something uncomfortable is not the same thing as wearing something uncomfortable.
Also women can do manual labor. Women can do those jobs. I personally have not had those jobs, but I have done plenty of manual labor in my life.
It’s almost like people can have equally irritating experiences or something and you don’t have to bring up something totally different when one complains of a kind of discomfort they face!
Shut up about soft and entitled, anyway. You’re taking the labor you do for granted, if that’s what you do or have done. Outside of the developed world, there’s no safety equipment, and hours slog far longer than 8 with no breaks in between, and for little to no pay. And with no damn work equipment so you can get fat and soft because you do little actual work. And that’s not just men. That’s from the women forced to trek for miles both ways for water for their village with a bucket on their head to hold it, to the child slaves that make your coffee.

As a person who has done those jobs that I’m describing; we are wearing uncomfortable shit in uncomfortable environs as a matter of necessity.

I assure you the people that provide all of the amenities that you take for granted, from clean water to the internet and electricity, work as hard as anyone in a developing country. In fact their dedication to their jobs and the fact that they do them well and take pride in them provide a bulwark against finding yourself in a failed state carrying a bucket of water on your head.

Women choose to wear uncomfortable high heels. No one forces you to wear a 6 inch stiletto when you know you are going to be walking around all day. I wear my work heels for 9 hours a day and have never had a problem. I would much rather wear my heels all day then be working outside in the heat.
Just to be clear i have no problem with high heels or people who choose to wear them. I have a problem with them being made into some sort of passion play in a battle of the sexes. It’s dangerously myopic and patently ridiculous. The “SLAAY” commentary in the notes is embarrassing af.

The customer bringing the claim against Azucar Bakery in Denver, Colorado, says he was the victim of ‘religious discrimination’ because they wouldn’t adorn cakes with the words ‘God hates gays’, and draw a picture of two men holding hands with a red cross above it.
Owner Marjorie Silva called the requests of Bill Jack ‘discriminatory and hateful’ and refused to decorate the cakes, saying: ‘We never refuse service. We did feel that it was not right for us to write hateful words or pictures against human beings.’
She did, however, offer to make Mr Jack the cakes and sell him some icing so her could decorate them himself.
Mr Jack was not satisfied with this response, telling a local news station he was being ‘discriminated against by the bakery based on my creed’.
He has filed a complaint with the Department of Regulatory Agencies, which have now placed the bakery under investigation, and could refer the complaint to the Colorado Civil Rights Commission if they feel that Mr Jack was being discriminated against.
Mr Jack is the head of the Worldview Academy, an organisation that exists to help people ‘think and live in accord with a Biblical worldview’.
Since the incident Ms Silva has received praise and support from people throughout the world who have contacted her via email.

Political humor is the lowest form of comedy. It’s not jokes, it’s always just taking their own political beliefs and slapping a goofy hat on it. Their “punchlines” are more likely to be meet with clapping than laughter. But then whenever anyone points out how retarded their statements are, they try to play it off as just a joke.

I’ve seen libertybill’s posts (at least from what I saw on another person’s reblogs) He doesn’t strike me as a Hilter-sympathizer.
He’s not. I follow him and his wife (they’re super cute, just throwing that out there). I’ve never seen anything alt-right or neo-nazi from him. He’s a normal libertarian who likes memes.
This is why nobody takes these “block lists” seriously. There are some truly bad people who make it on these lists, but there are also normal people who just happen to lean right of center who are put on these lists simply because someone doesn’t like their politics.
